from Amazon careersAmazon's US Consumables team is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to lead supply chain for the Grocery category. Our mission is to serve and delight Grocery customers by having the right product quantities, in the right place, at the right time. The Grocery supply chain team focuses on end-to-end supply chain management for the category, including managing operations relationships with Vendors, ensuring inventory health, and collaborating with Vendors and internal stakeholders on strategic initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency, to provide products to customers with best-in-class speed, and to reduce costs and waste. This leader owns team-wide initiatives and business plans, oversees a team of supply chain and inventory management professionals, and coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders such as Vendor management, customer success, product management, and finance. A successful candidate will be a strong communicator across teams and Vendors, with executive leadership, and with direct reports. They will be able to balance the day-to-day requirements of the role while also driving improvements to key metrics such as in-stock rates, confirmation rates, and lead times.
