Job description

We're seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Quick RAG team, working on cutting-edge retrieval-augmented generation technology that powers Amazon Quick Suite's intelligent document processing and search capabilities. You'll design and build scalable ingestion pipelines that handle multi-modal content (PDF, audio, video, tables) using computer vision and machine learning, optimize system performance for millions of documents, and collaborate across teams to deliver features that directly impact customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern AWS technologies including Bedrock, ECS, and DynamoDB while solving complex distributed systems challenges at scale. Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying distributed machine learning systems and large-scale solutions for our world-wide customer base. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your team to influence our overall strategy and define the team’s road map. You will also drive the system architecture, spearhead best practices that enable a quality product, and help coach and develop junior engineers.
