from Amazon careersThis is a non-virtual, full-time, permanent position based in Costa Rica and does not offer relocation benefits. Job applicants must be located and legally authorized to work in Costa Rica to be eligible for consideration.
As a member of the team, you support the NA-LATAM procurement and business teams in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil (Australia and Singapore at Hoc) in delivering operational purchasing tasks and specific project assignments, as well as engage in process improvements. As a Buyer you will become an expert, providing daily support and being the first point of contact in one of the 5 core workstreams of shared services, such as PR2PO compliance check and approval, Catalog creation and maintenance, Helpdesk support, vendor onboarding and BPOC.
This role will focus on the different processes GPCS handle, compliance workstream and report to the Procurement Manager. It will be focused in supporting the North American and LATAM businesses.
Key job responsibilities
• Responsible for PR2PO approval, compliance check and general support to internal stakeholders.
• Responsible for PO Support relating to PO transmission; delivery queries and POD accuracy.
• Contributing to the effective delivery of metrics by ensuring workstream KPIs and SLA’s targets are delivered on by:
• Meeting service level agreements (SLA) for standard tasks (e.g. PO creation)
• Achieving assigned project targets / objectives
• Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with our internal customers and suppliers.
• Ensuring alignment and adherence to Amazon’s Spending and Transaction Policy as well as any internal Global Procurement processes and operations.
• Participating in cross-functional improvement projects

• This is not a virtual position. If selected for this role, you will be required to work from our SJO11 building, located in Centro Corporativo El Tobogán, Calle Blancos, San José.
• Our training schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm for a total duration of four weeks.
• Our Production Schedules are *assigned* based on business needs and global organizational demands. All candidates are requested to have schedule flexibility as shifts can be between 6:00am to 8:00pm local time, Monday to Friday.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Completed High School diploma
- 1+ years of work experience in corporate/customer service roles.

Basic Qualifications
- B2 English proficiency or higher.- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Completed High School diploma
- 1+ years of work experience in corporate/customer service roles.
