from Amazon careersThis Software Engineering Manager leads a team of Software Development Engineers who automate security processes, build security guardrails for AI assisted development, and deliver security solutions across Amazon's Devices Services organization. The portfolio includes Alexa, Fire TV, smart home ecosystems, e-readers, mesh WiFi networking systems, cloud connected cameras, home security platforms, autonomous vehicle systems, and enterprise networking and IoT solutions. The scope is broad by design. This team secures products that millions of customers and businesses use daily across a portfolio that spans consumer electronics, enterprise infrastructure, and autonomous systems. The manager who succeeds here moves fast across domains, makes decisions with incomplete information, and builds systems that scale across product lines rather than solving one problem at a time. Key job responsibilities You will define the team's charter and technical vision with stakeholders, then own the roadmap that delivers on that vision. This means making explicit tradeoffs between short term delivery and long term architecture, and communicating those tradeoffs clearly to engineering leadership.
