Job description

Amazon is seeking an experienced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Manager to oversee the strategic operations and performance of a newly launching 3PL IXD (Inbound Cross Dock). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring our 3PL partners consistently meet our high standards across key areas such as operational performance, cost management, continuous improvement, change management, network integration, escalation processes, and provider relationship management. The position requires up to 40% travel to local 3PL sites and Amazon facilities. Key job responsibilities Performance Management: • Establish and lead a structured, systematic approach to site-level performance management, including the use of short-term improvement plans, deviation management, and providing high- quality performance comments and feedback • Proactively identify performance deviations, develop and execute corrective action plans in collaboration with 3PL providers, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize operations • Serve as a benchmark for peers, setting the standard for performance management excellence Cost Management: • Demonstrate a deep understanding of 3PL business cases and the ability to detect hidden cost levers • Drive impactful cost-saving opportunities and efficiency-boosting initiatives, including the piloting of new productivity and cost-controlling projects • Actively engage with stakeholders to refine business cases and influence cost-improvement activities Continuous Improvement:…
