Selling on Amazon is one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon.com, with more than 50% of all items currently sold originating from third-party sellers. The SP-API Risk Technologies team is looking for a Systems Development Engineer who will design, build, and operate infrastructure and automation systems that protect Selling Partner data and enforce compliance across Amazon's third-party developer ecosystem. You will own the full engineering lifecycle - from design through deployment and operations - building production-grade enforcement workflows, data pipelines, and automation frameworks that operate at scale across distributed AWS services. Our team is responsible for preserving Partner trust through developer gating, compliance monitoring, risk analysis, and policy enforcement. As a Systems Development Engineer, you will build the systems that power these capabilities: designing state machine workflow orchestration for enforcement actions, engineering CDK-based infrastructure for multi-region deployments, developing automated non-compliance and risk detection pipelines using Step Functions, Lambda, DynamoDB, and other AWS-native services, and creating proactive monitoring with fail-fast alerting across mission-critical jobs.
