from Amazon careersThis role will be responsible for collaborating with OEMs on developing, standardizing, implementing, and troubleshooting controls, electrical, and hardware solutions for robotics and material handling systems, act as a liaison for internal and external resources, and develop to meet scaling needs. The Systems Development Engineer will be defining requirements and standards from individual work cells to large complex MHE integration across multiple vendors. The position will balance controls and software integration between internal and external stakeholders, as well as provide commissioning support to the Operations Engineering Teams on achieving system performance prior to/during/and after launch of greenfield sites and/or retrofit sites. This role requires up to 50% regional travel on a yearly basis and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.
