Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) is developing secure, high-performance satellite communications technologies that support U.S. National and International security and defense. This role is responsible for designing, building out, and maintaining foundational software that extends Amazon Leo capabilities to U.S. Government customers such as NASA, DoD, other National Security customers, and International Government customers. You will develop brand new software services for mission critical space safety and sustainability applications which will automatically coordinate with external systems and organizations rapidly, reliably, and at scale. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, tackling complex challenges in secure satellite communications. This role requires deep expertise in high-assurance, fault-tolerant software and proficiency in modern programming languages such as Rust.
