Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) and lead the optimization of one of the world's largest cloud fleets. We are seeking a software development manager for the Elastic Block Store (EBS) Capacity Engineering team to lead a group of engineers focused on optimizing the fleet of servers powering some of the world's largest websites and cloud services. EBS is the solid state drive for the Internet, storing exabytes of data for millions of customers. You will lead the development and operations of software services that predict future demand and drive orders for additional servers in each AWS data center in the world. We continue to optimize capacity to improve the availability of EBS for all customers and push boundaries of cost efficiencies at massive scale, and we want you to own that charter! In this role, you will lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers responsible for creating and optimizing global and regional capacity. The team you will lead is in the process of inventing a new capacity forecasting and planning platform for EBS.
