from Amazon careersThis position can be based in DE or UK Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Certification and Regulatory Affairs Specialist for Drone Delivery. This role is part of our Regulatory Affairs team and responsible for executing projects and initiatives to support the integration of our airspace, operations, and airworthiness/certification processes for drones across Prime Air, with a focus in the European Region (EU/UK). Working in the Regulatory Team at Prime Air, you will act on the forefront to bring Drone Delivery to reality in our focus markets. We are a highly motivated team driving solutions and regulation forward in this innovative space. Key job responsibilities • Develop and coordinate airspace authorization, operational approval, and airworthiness/certification deliverables (e.g., Airspace Risk Assessments, Operational Manuals, Noise Study Reports, Design Verification Artifacts, SORA/SAIL documentation) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including aviation authorities. • Partner with internal stakeholders — including airworthiness engineers, airspace integration teams, flight operations, and safety teams — to drive consistency and efficiency in the development of: • Airspace approvals (e.g., airspace authorizations, UTM/U-space integration, temporary danger areas, flight restriction zone exemptions) • Operational approvals (e.g., Operations Authorizations, Specific Operations Risk Assessments (SORA), Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC), SAIL…
