Sensory Analyst, WWGS Private Brands NA Product Development and Sensory

Key job responsibilities
Support internal descriptive analysis panels
Review and perform data entry ensuring accuracy and logical consistency
Prepare products and references as necessary for sensory evaluation and training
Plan and execute employee acceptance testing including selecting sensory methods
Perform basic statistical analysis
Report findings from sensory panels to stakeholders
Assist in recruiting, screening, selecting, and training new panelists for sensory panels as needed
About the team
WWGS Private Brands NA Product Development and Sensory supports product development and sensory activities across all Amazon and Whole Foods Market Private Branded products in both food and non-Food categories.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in Oracle DB- Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- BS Food Science, Sensory Science, Psychology or similar field. Advanced degree a plus.
- 1-2 years’ experience working in the sensory science field
- Must have knowledge of sensory science as it relates to consumer packaged goods products
- Must have in-depth understanding of sensory science and related business processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data analysis and reporting- Experience in supporting quantitative and qualitative consumer research
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services
- Experience working with Compusense software
- Experience and familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
