The Senior Business Operations Analyst serves as a key driver of strategic program execution and operational excellence across Public Sector Business Operations. This role combines strong program management discipline with analytical rigor to lead and deliver high-impact initiatives. Acting as a central point of coordination, the Senior Business Operations Analyst ensures alignment across cross-functional teams, maintains execution against strategic priorities, and translates complex data into actionable insights. With a focus on stakeholder engagement, process optimization, and continuous improvement, this role enables consistent, scalable delivery of business operations initiatives while supporting leadership decision-making and long-term organizational effectiveness
Key job responsibilities
Program Management & Execution
- Support end-to-end execution of key strategic programs including SSBO calendar management, S-Team goal tracking, Account Planning, Fast Start, and Gap-to-Green initiatives and other Public Sector activities
- Maintain program plans, timelines, and milestone tracking to ensure deliverables remain on schedule
- Build and manage workflows in Asana to improve visibility, coordination, and accountability across teams
- Proactively identify risks and support mitigation planning to prevent delivery delays
- Coordinate across Business Operations and central teams to ensure alignment and consistent execution of priorities
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as a point of contact for assigned programs, responding to stakeholder inquiries and providing regular updates
- Support preparation of executive reporting and presentations, summarizing program status and key insights
- Facilitate working sessions and coordination meetings across Business Operations and Sales teams
- Build relationships with regional and global stakeholders, ensuring alignment across diverse teams
- Assist with change management and adoption of new processes, tools, and workflows
Analytics & Performance Insights
- Analyze program and business performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Support development of recurring reports and dashboards for internal and external cadences
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and program stakeholders
- Ensure data accuracy through validation, tracking, and continuous monitoring of key metrics
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the design and improvement of processes for SSBO calendar coordination, goal tracking, and planning initiatives
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
- Document best practices and support development of scalable, repeatable mechanisms
- Assist in roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives across strategic programs
Team Collaboration & Enablement
- Support knowledge sharing and documentation to maintain team resources and institutional knowledge - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and information flow
- Contribute to internal team meetings, planning sessions, and alignment activities
- Assist in developing materials that support team enablement and program consistency

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
