Looking for an experienced software engineer to join the Dataprep Team at Alteryx. If you have worked on scalable/distributed data processing systems and are passionate about cloud technologies, this is the right opportunity for you. You will play a key role in building the core execution layer for all the applications in the Alteryx analytics cloud with some of the industry's best peers and leaders.

Role summary:

Lead design and delivery of backend services that keep Dataprep reliable, scalable, and secure. Act as a technical leader across cross-functional teams to guide architecture, performance, and migration efforts as we sustain Dataprep and enable customer transitions to cloud-native applications.

Key responsibilities:

· Lead system design, architecture reviews, and complex feature delivery for Java/Spring-based services.

· Drive reliability, performance tuning, and production incident response for mission-critical services.

· Mentor engineers, run code reviews, and raise engineering standards (testing, observability, CI/CD).

· Collaborate closely with product, QA, DevOps, and migration teams to define pragmatic solutions for sustaining products and enabling migration

· Implement and review APIs, integrations, and data pipelines used by Dataprep and backend.

· Contribute Node.js components or help integrate Node services

Required qualifications:

· 5+ years building production services in Java with Spring / Spring Boot.

· Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and microservices.

· Strong experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and performance tuning.

· Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. GCP is strong advantage

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work across the full product lifecycle—from concept to production support.

· Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and tools

· Node.js experience is a strong advantage.
