Our Global Indirect Tax Team is a partner for Akamai's business, supporting its operations through tax compliance reporting and advisory. We influence more than 30 countries across the globe, identifying opportunities, mitigating risks and collaborating with external tax providers to constantly improve our business.

This position involves analyzing tax jurisdictions across 30+ countries, addressing local and international requirements. Collaborate with skilled teams and external partners to provide expert guidance to leadership while overseeing various tax areas independently.

As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating VAT compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions (EMEA, APJ, Americas), working closely with internal stakeholders and external tax service providers
• Preparing and review VAT calculations, returns, and supporting documentation, including Excel spreadsheets and work papers
• Supporting sales and use tax compliance activities, with training provided as needed
• Liaising with tax authorities to respond to notices, information requests, and support tax audits
• Analyzing general ledger (GL) accounts and prepare tax-related reconciliations
• Collaborating with Finance teams to deliver indirect tax expertise, enhance best practices, and improve processes using technology like Excel and Tableau.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a minimum 4 years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax consulting, preferably within an international environment
• Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to deliver data-driven analysis, clear documentation, and well-structured work papers
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
• Act with high ethical standards, integrity, and personal accountability, in line with company values
• Demonstrate eagerness to continuously learn, remain updated on tax regulation changes, and adapt effectively to evolving business practices.
