Senior Revenue Assurance Manager

The Revenue Accounting and Assurance (RAA) organization is seeking a Senior Revenue Assurance manager to join our team. The role reports to the Director of Revenue Assurance. This role requires an individual with strong critical thinking skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role manages our technical Revenue Accounting and Assurance support for all products and services. The manager will assist with the company’s revenue recognition guidelines and other revenue-related policies. The manager will coordinate technical revenue accounting support for new products and services. The manager will assist with the preparation and review of technical accounting positions and memos prepared by the team. The manager will provide support for complex enterprise deals as needed. The manager is also responsible for assisting with disclosure and reporting for our 10-Qs and 10-Ks.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the manager for the technical Revenue Assurance function, managing a small high impact team within the Revenue Assurance team
- Help define and maintain Adobe’s global revenue recognition policy. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP governing revenue recognition under ASC 606, and other applicable accounting standard
- Strong ASC 606 knowledge of SaaS and AI related services including multi-element arrangements, contract modifications, variable consideration, and usage-based/consumption-based commitments
- Maintain revenue related corporate policies, technical revenue accounting memos and assist with playbooks. Prepare and detail accounting position on new product launches and go-to-market (GTM) motions.
- Work alongside GTM teams to roll out new products and services, ensuring that suitable contractual terms and system capabilities exist to enable accurate revenue recognition
- Support revenue related aspects of the financial close related to revenue, accounting positions, applicable internal controls and associated operational activities
- Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting matters, support PBC preparation, and complete associated deliverables
- Drive innovation by using tools, data, automation and AI to improve existing revenue processes and evaluate new opportunities
- Encourage and develop a high-performing team by enabling leadership growth, and operational excellence
What you need to succeed:
Focus on business collaboration, cross functional cooperation and finding practical solutions to complex accounting positions, product launches or GTM motions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate well.
Able to communicate complex technical accounting concepts effectively to a broad audience including leadership and business partners with limited accounting knowledge
Deep expertise in US GAAP and ASC 606 for SaaS, including knowledge of multi-element arrangements, SSP, variable consideration, contract modifications, and usage-based or consumption revenue models
Skilled in researching, documenting and presenting technical accounting conclusions
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in Big 4 accounting or advisory, with experience of complex accounting issues.
- CPA or equivalent with a minimum of 12+ years US GAAP revenue recognition and accounting experience
- Revenue recognition management experience within SaaS or a cloud service provider and professional services
- Deep understanding of and considerable experience in applying ASC 606 to contracts, new product rollouts, or GTM strategies
- Experience researching and preparing technical revenue accounting positions and collaborating with external auditors on these items
- Experience in PowerBI, SFDC and SAP
In California, the pay range for this position is $165,600 - $264,500

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $124,200 -- $245,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
