The Opportunity
Adobe Express enables users to easily build impressive designs, whether they are newcomers or seasoned experts, through a user-friendly platform powered by modern Generative AI capabilities. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Adobe Express Growth and Engagement team. The team is at the forefront of driving innovative product growth, focussing on the entire user journey from their very first interaction to becoming a long-term, engaged member of our community . We are a data-driven team that uses rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and deep user behavior analysis to optimize key funnels, improve onboarding experiences, and build features that fuel user acquisition and retention. You will have a great opportunity to lead efforts using AI and Generative AI to improve user experience, automate creative workflows, and drive innovation.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Define and implement the technical strategy for expanding and maintaining the user base initiatives.
  • Work on the creating journeys across various Adobe flagship products ensuring high visual fidelity and editability
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams (product management, build, data science, and engineering) to understand requirements and deliver scalable, performant, and intelligent solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in web, mobile, Generative AI technologies, driving the adoption of innovative methodologies to enhance our platform continuously.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform by implementing robust monitoring, alerting, incident management, and software engineering standards.
     

What You Need to Succeed

  • 12+ years of Industry experience with 3+ years managing high-performance engineering teams delivering business-critical solutions.
  • Proven ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with strategic oversight, facilitating technical trade-offs to align engineering efforts with product strategy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at navigating complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated excellence in decision-making, employing data-driven analysis, partner input, and strategic experimentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
     

Required Qualification

  • Proficiency with latest technologies such as Web Components, React/Vue/Bootstrap, Redux, NodeJS, TypeScript, dynamic web applications, Redis, Memcached, Docker, Kafka, MySQL.
  • A strong understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with web application development stacks, and mobile development frameworks (Swift, Kotlin)
  • Experience or familiarity with Generative AI frameworks, models, and services (such as GPT-based models, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of MVC frameworks, HTML, DOM, CSS, REST, AJAX, responsive design.
  • Ability to define APIs and integrate them into web applications using XML, JSON, SOAP/REST APIs.
